tattoo you.

So the Kearns Library is just around the corner from a tattoo shop, which means we do our fair share of image searching. The questions are always fun and often really challenging. Side views of angels and Chinese alphabet characters can be tricky. The most wanted image of late? You guessed it, Spidey. And "they" say reference is dead. Pffft.

This could be a great opportunity to let the patrons know the long and important tradition of tattooing in many human cultures. Thus they take their place in a continuum. Send them to sites like href="http://www.museum.upenn.edu/new/exhibits/online_exhibits/body_modification/bodmodtattoo.shtml" or href="http://www.vanishingtattoo.com/" and href="http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/12/1210_041210_tattoos.html"

So...do you have a tattoo? I always wanted one (back in my youth). Now I'm not so sure. Maybe one of those barcodes on the back of my neck. But what number? What's the Dewey number for aging bald guy who pretends to be able to play the guitar? Maybe 781.66 (and then the Cutter W for Waters and then ResonatorDobroMan)?

No tattoo for me... I've toyed with getting one, but I'm pretty sure they hurt. I'm a wimp.
